Old fashioned in a good way.
Feels like a country house hotel in the middle of town. I usually stay in corporate blocks, but have got tired of the queue at check in. Much more pleasant to stay somewhere like this. Excellent location, charming staff.

Great Hotel
I have Stayed at The Strathmore Hotel a few years previously with my Daughter. So I decided to stay again as we had such a lovely few days staying at the hotel. Yet again such a lovely place to stay, staff, room and food were excellent.
