Central London break
My wife and I stayed for 2 nights. Great location in a lovely part of London close to the Museums and Hyde Park. Pleasant staff, welcoming and happy to help. Our room was comfortable if on the small side. The bed was comfortable with nice linen. The lift was small and I would say substandard for a hotel of this size. The bar area looked nice although we did not use. Breakfast (both continental and cooked) was adequate).

Very comfortable accommodations in lovely area
delightful stay in a sweet hotel in lovely & quiet area. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating and we really enjoyed out stay while in London for the 1st time. We are a family of 4 & stayed in the quad room which was roomy for us all. Would recommend and return

A Little Gem
We would stay again. Staff is efficient. One gentleman at the front desk is particularly helpful and friendly. I asked his name, but promptly forgot it. I think it began with an S. Waitstaff in the dining room is also efficient and attentive. The location is great. Gloucester Rd. tube is less than a five minute walk. There are plenty of restaurants in the area, grocery stores, and a Boots. We saw lower prices advertised online for this hotel, but as we booked through a travel agent, we did not investigate much. Perhaps it is a high-demand time of year. We would definitely recommend the Gem Strathmore. Did I mention it's a short walk to the Victoria and Albert museum and Kensington High St. Great location.

My granddaughter and I have an excellent impression of the Gem Strathmore, welcoming, in a lovely area of London, and convenient for sightseeing, delicious breakfasts and evening meals. It was Fiona’s first visit to London, and I am sure won’t be her last. The professionality, courtesy and kindness of the staff made our visit extra special. A big thank you to all at the Gem.
