My base in London
I have stayed at The Gem Strathmore many times because of its location and the professional and friendly staff. It’s pleasing to note that the hotel is being renovated and facilities upgraded. Which makes a difference. Housekeeping staff under head service manager, Gyongyver, are excellent and very accommodating.

Good hotel
Good hotel. Very convenient location for museums and the Royal Albert Hall. Tube station (Gloucester Road) 5 minutes walk at, where there are shops and restaurants. Hotel has great staff, very helpful and polite. Room we had, although small had everything we needed as a base. Our breakfast was included in the price and was good. Choice of fruit, cereals and a cooked breakfast, though no baked beans, which was odd. Small lift but it did the job. The bar was good and they served very good breakfast tea ??. On the other hand I've had much better tasting Camden pale ale, not the best. Overall, I would recommend this hotel if you are going to the Royal Albert Hall or want to visit the many museums in South Kensington.

Lovely hotel
Lovely hotel which is well located in the west of London. Have stayed there before and would do it again. We had a superior room (room 214) which was adequate for a couple of nights but was a bit of a squeeze for two people if l’m honest.
